MEET THE AUTHORS: John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell
Wednesday, August 17, 2016  |  THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

When Rep. John Lewis was 18 years old, he read a comic book that would change his life. The comic book “Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Montgomery Story” became “like a bible” to Lewis — and many others of his generation — who became involved in civil rights. And now, Lewis is out with the third in a series of comic book-style memoirs, “ March: Book Three,” to inspire the next generation with his life’s story and involvement in the civil rights movement.

Join Collective Impact as we welcome these three creators that have turned the life of an exceptional human being into both a work of literature and a work of art. The words and images of March bring to life the story of John Lewis, the power of youth, and the power of nonviolence — making them accessible and urgently relevant to new generations.
